Black Elk Energy appoints Terrell (Terry) Clark as Executive Vice President and Chief Technology Officer

Black Elk Energy, an independent oil and gas company in Houston, Texas, announced that Terrell (Terry) Clark has joined the company as Executive Vice President and Chief Technical Officer.  Mr. Clark received his B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Colorado and has 28 years of experience in reservoir engineering and field exploitation.  Mr. Clark joins Black Elk Energy following the sale of his privately held Houston based petroleum consulting company, Atlantis E & P Services, Inc., to Hamilton Engineering in 2007.  Mr. Clark gained his industry expertise through 17 years with Amoco Production Company (now BP America), followed by 4 years with Reading & Bates Development Company where he was Director of Reservoir Engineering.

"Black Elk Energy is enjoying strong growth and I welcome the opportunity to be part of their outstanding team.  I also share the company's vision and values, which are focused on families and communities as much as on technical and operational excellence."

Mr. Clark has extensive reservoir engineering experience in company exploration/exploitation programs with specific expertise in prospect economic evaluation, development planning, well testing, and risk weighted expected value. His international background includes offshore projects in the shelf/deepwater Gulf of Mexico, West Africa, Eastern Mediterranean, Gulf of Suez, and onshore in the U.S. Rockies/Overthrust Belt.
